Drawn Wire

Tinned Copper Wire

Electrolytic and hot-dip tinned copper wire produced from 99.9% pure ETP copper, available in soft-annealed and hard-drawn tempers across 0.15–3.25 mm diameter. Tin coating from 1–20 µm delivers ≥100% IACS conductivity with outstanding corrosion resistance, solderability, and shelf life for marine, automotive, solar, and flexible cable applications. Certified to ASTM B33/B246 and IEC 60228.

Coating grade guide: 1–3 µm (standard finished conductor grade) · 5–10 µm (marine / corrosive environment) · 10–20 µm (heavy-duty offshore). Coating continuity verified by hydrochloric acid + sodium polysulfide test per ASTM B33 and BS 6360 Cl.9.1.

Tinned Copper Wire Built for Demanding Environments

Dual-Process Coating, One Source
Electrolytic coating for fine wire down to 0.15 mm and hot-dip coating available from 1.5 mm upward, offering tin thicknesses from 2 µm (standard conductor grade) to 20 µm (marine/heavy-duty) — all from a single certified supplier, eliminating the need to source different grades from different manufacturers.
Zero Conductivity Penalty on Soft Grade
Soft-annealed tinned wire is rated at ≥100% IACS — identical to bare copper conductors — meaning tin protection adds no electrical overhead in standard cable conductor applications. The copper core dominates resistance; the tin layer protects without compromise.
ASTM B33/B246 and IEC 60228 Certified
Full compliance with ASTM B33 and BS EN 13602, with coating continuity verified per BS 6360 Cl.9.1 and IEC 60228. Accepted by marine-grade OEM cable manufacturers and qualified for Lloyd's Register and DNV-certified cable constructions.

Let's Discuss Your Requirements

Whether you need fine-gauge soft tinned wire for automotive harness, standard 2–3 µm electrolytic coating for flexible cable stranding, or heavy marine-grade 10–20 µm hot-dip coating for offshore applications — our technical team will specify the right tin grade, diameter, and reel format for your production requirements.
